My apple tree has got a white fungal almost foam type substance on it, its sticky to the touch. I've googled it and I think it's something called wooly aphid, can anyone confirm....

Of all the wonderful things in the wonderful universe of God, nothing seems to me more surprising than the planting of a seed in the blank earth and the result thereof.
Looks like wooly ahids. If its a waxy white secretion the aphids that produce it will be hiding underneath it. Scrub off the secretion and aphids with a stiffish handbrush or use greenfly spray.
ReplyDeleteWooly Aphid spray. Mix 1 cup of water and 1 cup of nasturtium leaves. Simmer the mixture for 20 minutes, allow to cool and add water to equal the amount of the remaining simmered liquid. Spray the aphids.
